got some.

1. my wife's turning 7mos next week, entering the last phase of our pregnancy. she keeps saying she looks bloated, but i still think she's sexy hehe. i have slowly accepted the fact that we're having a girl as our first borne. we're naming her carla venice, after her dad's name. poor kid LOL




2. construction's through for the one-floor house we renovated from the detached adjunct bedroom my parents used to use. we've got our own cozy place.


3. my clearance was not signed, so i couldn't get my last paycheck for the first semester - i got an institutional study that needs to be cleared by the research director first, before she signs my clearance (bad news is she's still in australia, and plans to come back next week). on the onset, since i got no money, my enrolment in the doctorate program will be stalled a couple of weeks. grr.


4. i'm enrolling 9 units this semester under the Ed.D. program, and a couple more units under the Education program. i plan to take the licensure exams for teachers next august.

THE TRUTH HURTS.
BUT THERE ARE AN AWFUL LOT OF WAYS

we were queueing for lunch rations during the second day of pmc, when, while queued, this senior from st. scho who was in front of me gave me the face and sarcastically said "why you wanna go first?", after i gave my food stub to the food guys. the caterers already had her stub, so i was lining up mine so we could be served. her companion-friend was worse, looking at he sharply from head-to-toe, as if sizing me up.

i was infuriated, but nonetheless realized that they were just kids who knew nothing but to belittle on other people. i wish them well. (yeah, right.)

glorietta mall was bombed today, leaving eight civilians dead, and more than 120 people injured. police are suspecting terrorists to be behind the suicide bombing early this afternoon.

i was on my way home, and hopped into a bus that showed manny pacquiao's fights. i was in between laughing and crying when i got off.

my wife has entered the third trimester of pregnancy. after the ultrasound, and i found out that we were having a girl, i admit i got disappointed. but we're coping. i'm getting the hang of calling my kid carla, instead of carlos.

the 2007 pinoy media congress was a blast. why wouldn'tit be. we stayed at a three star-hotel for two days hehe unlike last year's accommodations whose images in memory have faded.

although the line-up for this year's pmc still had abs-cbn head honchos, it was noticeable that this pmc swerved away from the theatrics and glamour side of the media. no actors were made moderators; all the discussants were from top-level management of their respective industries.

we've started construction of the house we'll be transferring to. it's an adjunct room of my folks. i'm transforming it into a small house. we bought tiles and the doors today; my dad bought the cement and other materials the other day. as to date, the masons have already put up the walls, and have started on the bathroom. construction ends saturday next week.

hey there.
it's the end of the semester.
still kinda frantic though.
lotsa things still happening:

1. we're entering the third trimester of pregnancy. we're still trying to control out weight problem, but thank God, both of us aren't diabetic.

2. i am finishing my first semester in doctorate school (i took 9 units). so far, i've realized most of my classmates enjoy eating during discussions, most of them are party animals (even the seasoned peeps - with one of the professors as original founders of the Manila Dance Troupe), and love going home early. although i get frustrated because i feel like i'm short-changed at some point, i don't usually complain. as long as i complete requirements, i'm good to go. and i'm enrolling 12 units next semester (plus some MAED units, bringing my EDD total to 22units, and completing my MAED as well).

3. now i know how to edit using adobe premiere, bringing the total non-linear softwares that i know to 3 (the other two, pinnacle and vegas). i edited the recent awards convocation footage yesterday in less than two hours. i felt great.

4. i'm finishing the final touches to the prefatory chapters of an institutional research on the school's marketing strategies (sigh), on top pf the other paperwork i need to finish before the sem goes kaput.

will tell you more at the end of the week.
