we were queueing for lunch rations during the second day of pmc, when, while queued, this senior from st. scho who was in front of me gave me the face and sarcastically said "why you wanna go first?", after i gave my food stub to the food guys. the caterers already had her stub, so i was lining up mine so we could be served. her companion-friend was worse, looking at he sharply from head-to-toe, as if sizing me up.

i was infuriated, but nonetheless realized that they were just kids who knew nothing but to belittle on other people. i wish them well. (yeah, right.)

glorietta mall was bombed today, leaving eight civilians dead, and more than 120 people injured. police are suspecting terrorists to be behind the suicide bombing early this afternoon.

i was on my way home, and hopped into a bus that showed manny pacquiao's fights. i was in between laughing and crying when i got off.

my wife has entered the third trimester of pregnancy. after the ultrasound, and i found out that we were having a girl, i admit i got disappointed. but we're coping. i'm getting the hang of calling my kid carla, instead of carlos.

the 2007 pinoy media congress was a blast. why wouldn'tit be. we stayed at a three star-hotel for two days hehe unlike last year's accommodations whose images in memory have faded.

although the line-up for this year's pmc still had abs-cbn head honchos, it was noticeable that this pmc swerved away from the theatrics and glamour side of the media. no actors were made moderators; all the discussants were from top-level management of their respective industries.

we've started construction of the house we'll be transferring to. it's an adjunct room of my folks. i'm transforming it into a small house. we bought tiles and the doors today; my dad bought the cement and other materials the other day. as to date, the masons have already put up the walls, and have started on the bathroom. construction ends saturday next week.
